'He told us 4 things at half-time' - Reguilon hails Zidane for Madrid comeback

Zinedine Zidane told his Real Madrid players four things at half-time as the Frenchman inspired a second half comeback against Eibar.

Madrid trailed at the break after a poor first half but were a different side in the second period.

"He told us four things at half-time," Reguilon said of Zidane's motivational influence at the break.

"He said to be calm, that we are going through a bad season, that we are professionals, and what we had to do."

Some have thought that these remaining games will be used as something of a trial period for the players as Zidane looks to see who will be kept for next season.

"He motivates us a lot," Reguilon said about Zidane.

"He's an important part of this club.

"I don't think these games are tests for us for next season."

Reguilon is keen to establish himself as the first choice left-back for Madrid, despite Zidane's obvious liking of Marcelo.

"I work every day to try and have as many minutes as is possible," he said.

"You can't be sad when you play with the best team in the world.

"I'm hungry and I always want to play. For that, I work hard to compete with the best in the world."
