Henry: France's goals were inevitable, but tougher matches lie ahead

France defeated Morocco 2-0 to advance to the semifinals. Afterwards, Henry commented on the French team’s performance in the match.

"Frankly, in this kind of match, it's just a matter of time before a goal is scored; it's only about when it will come.

The reason I was optimistic before the match was that we could create chances ourselves. In addition to that long-range shot in the first half, we created three excellent scoring opportunities and should have capitalized on them, but unfortunately, we couldn't. The opponent fought very hard throughout the match, and we seized the opportunity to score in the second half. I really appreciated the attacking pattern of our first goal; we can review and study it later.

We launched two or three consecutive counter-attacks, continuously putting pressure on the opponent. Morocco's defense gradually loosened, and then Mbappe produced his decisive performance, sealing the victory.

I hope the team can continue to improve its form, as every upcoming round will be a tough battle. If we face Belgium in the next round, the two teams already share a long-standing rivalry. If we encounter Spain, everyone needs to be extra vigilant, as they are the reigning European champions and their strength should not be underestimated.
