How Real Madrid could line-up next season ahead of Jude Bellingham's move

Real Madrid took their first steps into the 2023-24 transfer market after agreeing a deal to sign Jude Bellingham on Wednesday afternoon.

Los Blancos have negotiated a £113million deal to sign the Borussia Dortmund star this summer and will look to finalise the move in the coming weeks.

It marks the first bit of transfer action for Carlo Ancelotti's side this summer but it certainly won't be their last, with a number of interesting transfer links popping up.

Tottenham's Harry Kane and Chelsea's Kai Havertz have been two attackers linked with a move to Madrid, while a Bayern Munich defender has also been rumoured.

So, here, Mail Sport has taken a look at the potential line-up that Madrid could field next season.

GOALKEEPER

Courtois

Hardly a difficult choice in goal for Los Blancos. The Belgian shotstopper picked up the Lev Yashin trophy in October last year and it's clear to see why.

His stellar performances in domestic and European competitions continued all season, as he helped them reach the Champions League semi-finals.

His 10 LaLiga clean sheets was enough to lift him up to seventh in the league's rankings and proving that he is still one of the world's best keepers.

DEFENDERS

Dani Carvajal

A mainstay in the Madrid line-up across the last decade, Carvajal has proved to be a crucial part of their team.

The 31-year-old made 27 appearances in total during the Spanish top-flight campaign and managed to pick up two assists during that time.

There's been little to suggest that the Spanish veteran will be replaced at the Santiago Bernabeu, so expect to see him in the starting line-up next year!

Antonio Rudiger

The former Chelsea central defender enjoyed a brilliant debut season in Spain after completing his move to Madrid last summer.

With 33 LaLiga appearances under his belt, the German international proved that he is favoured over the likes of David Alaba in the Madrid team.

The 30-year-old recently produced a stunning performance to keep Erling Haaland at bay in their Champions League semi-final first-leg clash.

Eder Militao

Though he started his Madrid career on the periphery of the squad, Eder Militao has become a key member in the past two years.

Having played in 51 matches in all competitions this season, and registering seven goals, the Brazilian will likely keep his place in the squad.

A shoutout to the aforementioned Alaba, who has typically been third-choice between the defenders despite his outstanding technical ability.

Alphonso Davies

While Eduardo Camavinga has regularly filled in at left-back for the injured Ferland Mendy, it's Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies who takes the place.

The speedy Canadian, who starred at the World Cup in Qatar, has been identified as one of the best in the world by Los Blancos.

However, Davies has a contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2025 and the German champions will be reluctant to let him leave, let alone depart cheaply, according to Sky Sports.

Since joining Bayern in 2018, Davies has won the Bundesliga four times as well as the Champions League.

MIDFIELDERS

Eduardo Camavinga

The French midfielder hasn't looked back since completing a move to Madrid 2021 and has quickly became one of their must useful assets.

While Ferland Mendy's injury kept him sidelined for the majority of the season, Camavinga - who is typically a midfielder - slotted in the defence.

His steller performances prove that he can be deployed anywhere on the pitch - but most likely will play in central midfield next season.

Federico Valverde

The Uruguayan has developed a reputation for his lung-busting runs and thumping long-range strikes, which surely sees him keep his place in the team.

With seven goals and four assists from his 34 LaLiga outings this season, he showed his value within the Madrid midfield.

Again, there are shout for Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Aurelian Tchouameni to get the nod, but the Uruguayan outshines them all in our team.

Jude Bellingham

It was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that Real Madrid had agreed a deal to sign the England international for £113million.

Carlo Ancelotti made Bellingham, 19, a priority signing and Real are now set to complete their swoop for the midfielder.

It is understood the deal will guarantee Dortmund £88.5million - but will rise towards £113.5 million as a result of £25m worth of performance-related add-ons - which are believed to be achievable.

Mail Sport understands Bellingham's camp believe the experience of playing in another country has been the making of him as a person and they are happy to prolong that experience.

ATTACKERS

Rodrygo

Perhaps a victim of his team-mates' success, Brazilian winger Rodrygo has been somewhat overlooked despite his sensational performances for Madrid.

Nine goals and eight assists from 34 LaLiga appearances showed that the 22-year-old can provide some end product on top of his impressive dribbling skills.

Rodrygo's stellar performances meant that Eden Hazard hardly got a look in Ancelotti's side and, ultimately, spelled the end of his Madrid career.

Harry Kane

The Tottenham and England striker has been the centre of debate for weeks now, amid his side's dismal 2022-23 campaign.

Spurs slid to an eighth placed finish in the Premier League which can be seen as inexcusable given Kane's 30 top-flight goals.

His performance in north London have outgrown the dwindling side and with club chairman Daniel Levy open to selling him abroad, could see him move to Madrid.

Vinicius Jr

The Brazilian winger was Madrid's best player throughout the 2022-23 season after his displays both in LaLiga and the Champions League.

His 10 goals and nine assists in the Spanish top-flight added to his seven goals and fives assists in Europe's elite competition make for a sensational campaign.

And, at just 22-years-old, there's no doubt that the former Flamengo player will go on to reach new heights in the esteemed white kit of Madrid.
