Huesca coach Jaime Ramos feels his side deserved at least a point after their 3-2 defeat at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night.
LaLiga Santander's bottom side took an early lead against Real Madrid and showed character to make it 2-2 after the hosts had turned the game around.
However, Karim Benzema's late goal gave Madrid the three points, which Ramos thought was slightly unjust given his team's display.
"We leave with a bitter taste because we matched Real Madrid stride for stride and could have got a better result," said the Huesca boss.
"Our performances have been good, not in terms of results, but in terms of competing in matches.
"We have rescued some difficult situations," he stated.
Young Cucho Hernadez gave his side a shock opener in what was an all-round excellent display from the Colombian.
"Strikers live to score goals, their confidence depends on it and that, for us, is important.
"Cucho had not played for a while and showed great attitude," he mentioned.
