Antonio Rudiger says he is committed to "turning things around together" after signing a new contract with Real Madrid.

The defender, whose previous deal was to set to expire in June, has extended his stay with the 15-time European champions, after putting pen to paper on fresh terms.

Rudiger has made 182 appearances for Los Blancos since joining from Chelsea in 2022, helping the club win LaLiga and the Champions League among eight trophies overall.

And following two trophyless seasons at Santiago Bernabeu, the 33-year-old centre-half is determined to help get Madrid back in the winners' circle under returning coach Jose Mourinho.

"I am not done here," he wrote on X after the club confirmed his new deal on Tuesday.

"Renewing my journey with Real Madrid is a proud moment, but more than anything, it's a commitment to turning things around together with my teammates.

"We are going through a demanding phase. The setbacks have tested us, but this is exactly where I want to be.

"Some people may have written me off after my injuries, but that only motivated me even more. So, thank you for that.

"Anyone who knows me knows that I love challenges – I thrive on them.

"Even though things haven't been simple last season, my belief remains absolute: We stand together, we fight together and we will overcome this together. Now more than ever. Hala Madrid!"
