Ibanez ‘in talks’ to extend Roma contract

The agent of Roger Ibanez has revealed he is in talks with Roma to extend the defender’s contract.

The 22-year-old joined Roma from Atalanta in January 2020.

“We are in talks with Roma’s new General Director to extend his contract, we'll see what happens,” Frederico Moraes told RomaPress.

“We expected him to adapt quickly. After his period with Atalanta, we knew that he was going to do well when he had the chance,” he continued.

“Fonseca was really important for him. He gave him a chance and the support to allow him to do what he knows how to do. Plus, he is still developing.”

Ibanez has 24 appearances in all competitions with the Giallorossi so far this season.
