July 11 will always hold a place in the hearts of Spanish football fans and Thursday marks the ninth anniversary of Spain's World Cup win in South Africa.
La Roja took on the Netherlands in Johannesburg, with Andres Iniesta grabbing the game's only goal in extra time.
"Nine years of eternal happiness," the now Vissel Kobe player tweeted on Thursday.
Then-captain Iker Casillas also joined in the celebrations of the anniversary.
"Retweet this image," he said accompanied by a picture of him lifting the iconic trophy.
"So many times, it gives me goosebumps."
