Andres Iniesta is Pedri's idol and he wished the new Barcelona signing the best of luck at the Camp Nou.
The former Barcelona star spent a total of 22 years at the club before leaving in 2018 to join Japanese side Vissel Kobe.
"I wanted to wish you all the best and that you enjoy the moment," Iniesta said in a video to Pedri.
"[I hope you] learn a lot and that everything you wish for and fight for is fulfilled."
The 17-year-old, who has joined Barcelona from Las Palmas, is one of the most exciting prospects in Spain and he feels like he has been welcomed in his first few weeks in Catalonia.
"I've been welcomed very well and I'm very happy. I'm really happy to have this opportunity," Pedri told Barcelona's official media.
"Training at the Ciutat Esportiva is a luxury.
"I hope that I can enjoy the facilities for many years. I've been amazed.
"Right away, from the moment I met my teammates, I've felt really good.
"[Francisco] Trincao and I, for example, have got on very well.
Likewise, with Matheus [Fernandes].
"I am really looking forward to enjoying time with all of my teammates and learning from them."

Iniesta got a good farewell..he could play till he was able to..even when he played badly towards the end of his Barcelona career no one noticed it because Messi made up for it with his brilliance...But now Messi at the end of his career cannot afford a good farewell because there is no one who could make up for Messi's poor performances..he asked the board to invest, bring neymar back who could share his burden and Messi could retire with pride winning trophies but this board wouldn't listen...so can he be blamed for leaving?..he has gone through enough humiliation...Messi didn't allow any other Barca legends (Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol etc) go through such humiliation at the end of their career. They all went out holding their head high....Messi is not granted that privilege though he is the most deserving..
