Young Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni is among European football's governing body UEFA's 50 top talents to watch this year.

The 20-year-old centre back joined Inter back in 2017 in a deal worth around €30 million and has broken into the Nerazzurri first team this season and looks entirely comfortable in it.

“After a season on loan at Parma, the central defender returned to Inter in summer 2019; made his Serie A debut for the club in September, and has kept his place,” UEFA's overview says of him.

This season Bastoni, who is under contract with the club through to the end of the 2022/23 season, has made eight appearances across all competitions.

Manchester United's Mason Greenwood, Barcelona's Ansu Fati and Atalanta's Dejan Kulusevski, who had drawn links to Inter but is set to join Juventus, all also feature on the list.

Former Inter defender Zinho Vanheusden, now of Belgian Pro League side Standard Liege is also on the list.
