Isco trains and boosts hopes of being available for Getafe

Real Madrid are currently going through an injury crisis, with just 12 first team players available, so Isco's return to training on Monday was a welcome sight ahead of the match against Getafe on Tuesday.

Isco missed the win over Huesca due to back problems and on Monday sought to test whether he would be able to make the squad and lend a hand to the team.

Alvaro Odriozola, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Sergio Ramos, Fede Valverde, Eden Hazard, Lucas Vazquez and Rodrygo are all injured, while Toni Kroos is suspended.

This has forced Zinedine Zidane to call up eight youth players: Marvin Park, Sergio Arribas, Antonio Blanco, Victor Chust, Miguel Gutierrez and Hugo Vallejo as well as young right back Loren.

Madrid are particularly short in midfield meaning that, if Isco is available, he would most likely start alongside Casemiro and Luka Modric. If not, Zidane might be forced to start youngster Blanco.

With Carvajal, Odriozola and Vazquez all out, Zidane might have to ask Ferland Mendy to do a shift at right back, with Marcelo on the opposite flank.
