Inter are reportedly working on a sensational double deal to bring in Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi and Velez Sarsfield’s Thiago Almada next season.
Former Inter owner Massimo Moratti has made no secret of his desire for the club to sign Messi in recent days and tried to buy him back in 2006.
Now, according to journalist Martin Castilla for Argentine broadcaster TNT Sports, the Nerazzurri are ready to push through negotiations for the No 10.
Castilla also insists there is substance to a transfer and that it is ‘not just a dream’.
The 32-year-old would revive his legendary rivalry with Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo if he joined the Beneamata.
However, the reporter warns there is also an offer on the table from Newell’s Old Boys – Messi’s hometown side.
Leo has only one year left on his contract amidst signs of strain in his relationship with Barca, although his current deal makes him the world’s best-paid player on 70m before tax a season.
As for Almada, Castilla claims Inter are in talks with Velez over a €25m transfer and are in ‘the driving seat’.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder/winger is considered a huge talent in his native Argentina and has already scored nine goals in 45 first-team appearances.

RONALDO FANS!!! Reason why LEO GOAT can't leave BARCA is that, If Messi go to different club and always focus more on Goalscoring Like Ronaldo, Messi will Still score 50+ goals every season BUT Ronaldo can never score 10+ goals for 10 consecutive seasons if Ronaldo is (1) Better Playmaker than Messi (2) Better Team Player than Messi (3) Gives more assists than Messi every season. LEO GOAT still has better Goal Ratio than one always focus more on Goalscoring
