The Colombian player on loan in the Bundesliga from Real Madrid has made his intentions clear according to El Chiringuito, but the solution seems far from simple.
Edu Aguirre, a journalist for Spanish programme El Chiringuito de Jugones, reported that James Rodríguez has expressed his desire to leave Bayern Munich. The Colombian is currently on loan with the Bundesliga giants from Real Madrid until June this year, and Bayern have a purchase option of 42 million euros to retain his services.

"James has spoken to the president of Bayern [Uli Hoeness] and has told him that he is not comfortable in Munich and wants to return [to Real Madrid].
"However, with Zidane in Madrid, that option is absolutely impossible," stated Aguirre, in spite of words that the player himself has spoken.
As per the agreement reached between Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and James Rodríguez two seasons ago, the German club will have the last word regarding the future of the player. From reports in Germany it would appear that club directors are keen to pay for the player but current first team coach, Niko Kovac, is 'hesitating'. If he does not remain in the Bundesliga, Real Madrid's plan would be to move him on for a significant fee, around 70 million euros, to another club, potentially in the Premier League.
