Former Barcelona president Joan Gaspart has looked towards the highly-anticipated 2021 elections at the Catalan club, suggesting that there are even more candidates aside from Joan Laporta and Victor Font who could win.
Josep Maria Bartomeu's popularity amongst supporters has hit a new low in the last year or so, and the mood for change around the Camp Nou is palpable.
"In the next elections there are still candidates to be named," Gaspart explained in an interview with 8TV.
"In addition to Laporta and Victor Font there are several secret candidates that I still can't say."
One of the major talking points from Gaspart's period as president was Luis Figo's departure to Real Madrid, and the Catalan admits it took him a while to forgive the Portuguese midfielder.
"After so many years I have forgiven Figo as a person," he added.
"However, I've never forgiven him from a sporting perspective; Luis wanted to stay at Barcelona.
"He called me at midnight and told me that he had two options, Barcelona or Real Madrid."
Real Madrid have their own plans for the summer transfer window after a disappointing Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester City, yet Gaspart gave an insight into key figures at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
"Sergio Ramos is a Madrid legend," he confirmed.
"Florentino Perez, he's an extraordinary person.
"However, as a president he is a disaster."
