Barcelona have lost an excellent talent, with Xavi Simons having moved to Paris Saint-Germain's academy, but there are other prospects at La Masia worth keeping an eye on.
Jorge Alastuey, born just a few weeks after Simons and also from the class of 2003, is one of them.
The midfielder recently renewed for the next three seasons and was the captain of the Cadete A team last year.
In order to keep developing in Catalonia, he has rejected offers from France and England.
Alastuey arrived from Real Zaragoza's academy three years ago and is a player being closely monitored by the coaches of the Spanish national team's youth categories.
Directors are keen not to place too much pressure on him and hope he can simply continue to progress as he grows older and approaches adulthood.

Hope Riola is not his agent? If you want to achieve greatness as a player you must avoid that greedy agent. Another one is Neymars father.
