According to Sport, Mourinho's return to Real Madrid is a reality, and Florentino favors him to solve the team's problems both on and off the field.
One of the players who knows the Portuguese coach's methods best is José Luis Mato, known as Joselu. He worked with Mourinho while playing for Real Madrid Castilla and made his first-team debut for Real Madrid under his management.
A few days ago, Joselu discussed Mourinho's potential return to Real Madrid on the podcast "Bajo los palos by Flexicar," hosted by Iker Casillas.
The former Real Madrid player acknowledged that the Portuguese coach "is a coach with strong personality and very clear ideas." He also stated that Real Madrid needs a "change," and Mourinho could be the answer.
Joselu cited several reasons, including that Mourinho has already managed Real Madrid, understands the club's internal dynamics, and commands significant authority in the dressing room.
He said: "He is a coach who can put people in their place."
When asked if he was the best option available, Joselu refrained from making a definitive judgment: "Ultimately, we'll only know after the matches are played and a few months have passed." He also explicitly stated that this Real Madrid squad needs "discipline."
Finally, the player emphasized: "A club like Real Madrid cannot afford to go two consecutive years without winning any titles." Casillas responded, "I agree."
