Former Barcelona basketball star Juan de la Cruz has accused the club's football players not doing enough to prevent Lionel Messi's departure.
Many Barcelona fans believe that the exit of their greatest player could have been avoided if the situation had been dealt with differently, an opinion which De la Cruz shares.
A number of Barcelona players kissed the badge during their 4-2 triumph over Real Sociedad, which led to De la Cruz criticising their actions on Twitter following a traumatic couple of weeks.
"Now they all kiss the badge!" De la Cruz wrote.
"And their salaries? Now everyone is talking about pay cuts!"
His post came after Gerard Pique's decision to take a significant pay cut, with Barcelona's enormous wage bill having prevented Messi from signing a new contract.

I'm not a Barcelona fan but there was life be4 Messi and there'd be life after! The sky didn't fall when CR7 left Madrid. They missed him but life goes on. Barca, get your act together! Simple!

there was life before Messi ..but Messi is the one made Barcelona as dominant as today ...Barca will never be dominant like they were in 2008 to 2016 .. Messi was the main piece in that puzzle ..50 + goals and 20 + goals regularly and also top other charts in football ..for 10-15 years .the world will ever see a play like this even after 100 years.
