Diego Godin and Koke handed the captain's armband to Juanfran as a touching gesture for his final game for Atletico Madrid against Levante.
This tribute came even though both Godin and Koke started the match at the Ciutat de Valencia in the last LaLiga Santander fixture of the season.
It seems as if the decision was taken at the last minute because Godin was originally down to captain the side on the official team-sheet.
