Just what Koeman was missing... Pedri and Jordi Alba injured!

Pedri and Jordi Alba have joined the increasingly long list of injured players at Barcelona.

The midfielder and left-back both ended the game against Bayern Munich injured, with Barcelona confirming that Pedri has suffered a hamstring issue and that Jordi Alba has injured his quadricep.

Medical staff at the club have not yet been able to predict when the two will be able to return to action.

Alba could not finish the game after initially notifying the bench of his discomfort in the second half before asking to be substituted shortly after. At first glance it was thought that he merely had hamstring troubles, but after tests it has become understood that his quadricep is where the injury has been sustained.

As for Pedri, the central midfielder played the full 90 minutes of Barcelona's Champions League defeat, but the club have now confirmed that he has a tight hamstring.

Pedri and Alba have therefore joined Ansu Fati, Martin Braithwaite, Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Aguero on the sidelines.

Without two of their star players out for an unknown period of time, Barcelona's next game is on Monday, September 20, when they will face Granada at 20:00 BST at the Camp Nou.
