Kai Rooney scores four goals for Manchester United U18 as they thrash Burnley 6-0

If his outstanding performance against Burnley this week is any indication, Kai Rooney is certainly following in his father's footsteps. He scored four goals as Manchester United U18 dominated their opponents with a 6-0 victory.

Due to his father's status, there is naturally considerable attention on this young player. His debut in the FA Youth Cup at Old Trafford last season was also a memorable occasion.

Kai Rooney and his father are different types of players. He prefers to play as a right winger, cutting inside onto his left foot. But his goals against Burnley demonstrate he possesses the same predatory instincts in front of goal.

D. Fletcher was very pleased with the team's performance against Burnley and praised the attacking quality shown by the team in an interview with Manchester United TV.

He said: "We play attacking football, and I know that's the club's characteristic and DNA. We want to play fast, direct, attacking football, but also incorporate more controlled possession elements, which is the direction football is heading now."

"When you attack quickly and fluidly, and the players entering the box make very good decisions, decision-making is key in football. Our decisions in the final third today were excellent."

"Whether it was passing, crossing, shooting, utilizing teammates, or making runs to create space for teammates, all these decisions were fantastic. And I've always asked them to continue doing that."

"Everyone performed very well. Of course, Kai scoring four goals is well-deserved. He's obviously had a lot of injury problems, so it's really good to see him perform like this after returning."
