Kane: My "Work in silence, let success be your noise" quote is not directed at Mbappe or Yamal

Kane was rested on the bench during Bayern Munich's 6-1 DFB-Pokal second-round victory over Magdeburg. After the match, he gave an interview.

Speaking to the media in the mixed zone, Kane said: "It's been a crazy week. Monday night's Ballon d'Or ceremony was incredible. There was a lot of waiting time, and I kept trying to imagine what it would feel like to win.

"The support from friends, family, and fans has been truly special, almost overwhelming. I had a wonderful evening with those close to me, and now it's straight back to work while slowly processing everything."

Kane explained: "I could have played tonight, but Aaron Danks said he wanted to rest me for this game. We've played a lot of matches recently, and he had considered bringing me on as a substitute, but then we scored our fourth goal, which completely sealed the victory."

After winning the Ballon d'Or, Kane posted a message on social media: "Work in silence, let success be your noise." However, the 33-year-old forward quickly denied that this statement was directed at his closest competitors, Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal.

Kane stated: "No, not at all. To be honest, it's a quote I've always loved throughout my career. It embodies my personality, my way of doing things, and my attitude towards hard work, discipline, and dedication. Many times, I've had to train alone.

"I've put in all the effort behind the scenes. I just feel it's a great quote that many boys and girls can take inspiration from and use to motivate themselves."

Discussing Saturday's clash with Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund, Kane said he was already looking forward to the challenge and hoped to use this opportunity to further extend Bayern's lead over their rivals.

Kane concluded: "It's an important match, and the most important Bundesliga game of the season so far. We know how much of a boost it would give us to win and go three points clear. So, hopefully, we can get a win this Saturday to cap off the week perfectly."
