Keylor Navas warns PSG: I want to play every match

Real Madrid learned first hand that Keylor Navas isn't a backup goalkeeper, as the Costa Rican is desperate to play football. He is now growing unhappy at not being the guaranteed starter in Paris and he has admitted he wants to play every match.

In his time with Los Blancos, Navas was second choice behind Iker Casillas before taking the position from him, while later he was behind Thibaut Courtois, which led him to leave the Spanish club.

Navas expected to be a starter with Paris Saint-Germain, but the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma last summer gave Mauricio Pochettino multiple options at the goalkeeping position.

Pochettino hoped to be able to rotate both players, but that policy hasn't been welcomed by Navas, who is clear on his desire to play every match.

"I want to play every game," Navas explained in an interview with Canal+.

"Do I want to stay? I have to study many things.

"In the end, I have a very good relationship with Donnarumma, there aren't any problems with him.

"But, if it's a situation like this, it will be difficult. We'll see what happens in the future."

However. Navas will not be allowed to walk away from the Parc des Princes easily. Few players ever do.

That's because his contract is due to run until June 2024, after he renewed in the summer of 2021.
