Klopp has pulled off a behind-the-scenes deal that may leave Salah delighted

Liverpool are bringing physio Christopher Rohrbeck back to Anfield in a major addition for Jurgen Klopp – and even Mohamed Salah.

The Reds went through their terrible injury crisis last season but have avoided any such problems this time around.

Of course, there are always knocks and niggles throughout the season but major injuries like those sustained by Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez last season haven't cropped up.

Still, Liverpool are a very proactive club and always want to block any problems before they arise.

Liverpool now look set to bring Rohrbeck back to the club in a significant move.

The Athletic now report that Rohrbeck is coming back to the Liverpool backroom staff with immediate effect.

Rohrbeck left Liverpool in 2020, just three years after joining the Reds from Jurgen Klopp's former club Mainz.

Klopp has now pushed for Rohrbeck's return, possibly armed with greater power over such decisions after signing his new contract.

Klopp isn't alone though as others inside Anfield are understood to have wanted Rohrbeck back at Anfield.

An agreement with Rohrbeck is now imminent and this behind-the-scenes move could be an even bigger move than imagined.

It's stated that Rohrbeck was 'extremely popular' inside the Liverpool dressing room and he worked closely with two very important players.

Defender Virgil van Dijk and winger Mohamed Salah both worked very closely with Rohrbeck as they managed their bodies.

Having been through a hectic schedule, having Rohrbeck's input could be absolutely vital in the final weeks of the season.

It's an addition that may not make flashy headlines or leave Manchester City and Real Madrid quaking, but it's important to Liverpool.

If Rohrbeck can just help manage Salah, Van Dijk and others whilst maximising their physical ability, Liverpool will be all the better for it.
