Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to locking horns with Barcelona, who he makes favourites in their Champions League tie.

Liverpool will never be considered favourites against Barcelona, according to the Reds coach Jurgen Klopp who also says that's the "cool thing" about the Champions League tie.
The Merseyside club are looking to reach back-to-back Champions League finals but will have to negotiate a last-four tie with the Catalans to do so.
Klopp is looking forward to the opportunity of facing LaLiga's leaders for the first time in his career, having already come up against the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich many times.
Klopp ready to play Barcelona
"I have played against Real Madrid many times, but never in Barcelona," he told DAZN.
"You want to see what is possible. The cool thing about Barcelona is that you're never a favourite. To deal with the role, perhaps to do things differently than others, that is appealing, even if I have not made any concrete thoughts about it yet.
"Once we were in Barcelona with Liverpool on a Christmas trip, in a game against Gladbach. But to have seen that this is just a stadium and not a temple, that was certainly important."
Golden period for English football
Liverpool and Tottenham have reached the Champions League semi-finals, while Chelsea and Arsenal are in the Europa League last four and Klopp believes English football is enjoying a golden period.
"In general, a few big clubs are currently making a bigger change. Real Madrid have sold Cristiano [Ronaldo], Bayern Munich are doing a personal change too," he added.
"That's going to be the same with other clubs in the near future. In England the top four have a very good age structure. And of course, there are a few other reasons why there are a lot of good footballers around here in England.
"English football is good, the national team too, the top six are all very good - but that's never a guarantee for the future."

If I was Klopp I'd rather stay quiet about facing Barca in the UCL... United has talked alot too and see where they are now. So just a light warning Klopp, as much as a respected coach you are, you WILL be booted out the UCL by Barca!

And you wanna tell us As Roma 3-0 Barcelona was an impossible result? Bayern 7-0 Barcelona same? If Barcelona are always favourite, why have they failed to reach semis in 4 years? why haven't they won more trophies than other teams? Liverpool 5 UCL Barcelona 5UCL If you like don't get your players ready enough, Barcelona with what they displayed in man utd, you can win them with good goal margin.. Nothing is impossible in football, cos if it's Ajax wouldn't have eliminated Real Madrid and juve, ATM after two goals home deficit wouldn't have been trounced by Juve in their second leg.. so think straight man.. this your favourite chance after a big blow in the last season's champions league..

Point #1 - Liverpool may not make noise but your coach is. Point #2 - We all are waiting on the 1st of May.... To see you get slapped by Barca. Point #3 - Becareful of claiming Camp Nou is Liverpool home, don't be a home wrecker now, careful on your words... Point #4 - Barca hardly EVER loses on homeground, Camp Nou is OUR home with 99 500 fans behind the Blaugrana... Watch your words!

How Pep and Barcelona could ruin Liverpool's best ever season in decades. Liverpool are currently competing for 2 trophies this season, the EPL and UCL. 🔸️Liverpool is 2nd in the EPL with 88 points. They have 3 remaining games to play and if they win these 3 games they will have 97 points but if Pep's Man City also win there 3 remaining games they will have 98 points and they will take the title and Liverpool will become the first team in the history of the EPL to lose the league with 90+ points. Only 5 teams have won the English Premier League with 90+ points. 🔸️Liverpool made it to the UCL final last season and this season they will face Fc Barcelona in the Semi-final. There chances of winning the Epl are now slim after Man City defeated Man United which would make UCL their main priority. If Barcelona win the tie then Liverpool will most likely go trophyless. Liverpool is having a tremendous season but they could lose it all to Pep and Fc Barcelona.

I wonder why every coaches first pretend to take Barcelona lightly and end up praising the class of Barca's game! Just admit that Barca are the only favorites this year.. King Messi is in a roaring form !!

"English football is good, the national team too, the top six are all very good - but that's never a guarantee" Barça have beaten Tottenham, Chelsea and Man United all in the same season. Klopp keep your mind game to your self and get ready for the dynamite that's coming to you.

I'm not the manager of Liverpool so it is safe for me to say this. One way to overcome Liverpool is to park the locomotive and figure a way to last out the match. But since Barca is not the kind, this is gonna be a helluva game. Full on attack from both sides. It's not going to be Messi vs VVD, its going to be Messi vs Mane+Robertson+VVD. Not bcos he's the GOAT but bcos WE ARE LIVERPOOL. Just like Suarez will have VVD+Matip+Fabinho on his back. And Dembele/Coutinho will have Salah+TAA+Matip... Midfield battle, the technically slick Busquet, Arthur and Rakitic against human engines Fabinho, Keita and Hendo, or maybe Milner and Wijnaldum in the mix, thats plenty of runners, non-stop runners, plenty of ground covered. Welcome to the Collective vs Individual Brilliance. Now this is football.
