Kounde hits back at French fans' over speaking English: Get used to it, I also speak Spanish

Barcelona defender Kounde was recently criticized by some France fans for using English on Snapchat. In response, Kounde posted on social media that he will keep switching between French, English and Spanish, and will not change because of outside criticism.

One user left Kounde a message saying: "Stop pretending you're a native English speaker with us."

Kounde shared the message and replied: "I often receive messages like this, so I decided to respond. As French people, or French speakers, we really should stop feeling offended or inferior just because others speak English."

"English is the most widely spoken language in the world, and it is one of the main languages in many industries, such as film, music and business. These are all fields that interest me and influence me, so I have worked hard to learn English, and I enjoy speaking it."

"So I will keep using French, English and even Spanish interchangeably. You'll have to get used to it."
