Kroos: I'm the worst when I'm injured because I don't like to watch the games

The fact that Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez have been leaving the Bernabeu before the end of home Real Madrid matches while they've been out injured has been a hot talking point and Toni Kroos has had his say on the matter.

The German spoke about how frustrating it can be to be an outsider looking on when unfit.

"I don't think any player wants to be injured," he said after Real Madrid's 6-0 win over Galatasaray.

"For example, when I'm injured I'm the worst because I don't like to watch the matches. It's not because I don't want to watch them, but because I want to help.

"I hope both players are back after the international break. They're recovering and they're with us."

The player also spoke about the win and the improvement in the team's play.

"I think we've gotten better in recent weeks," he said.

"Even at the weekend [against Real Betis] I thought we had a good game. In this game we scored early on and this makes everything easier."
