According to the latest report from L'Équipe, Zidane will appoint French national team vice-captains based on seniority, with Dembélé, Rabiot, and Koundé expected to fill these roles.
According to reports, Zidane announced at a press conference last Friday that Mbappé would continue as captain of the French national team. He also announced that three additional captains would be appointed but did not reveal their names at that time.
It is expected that these three vice-captains will be the players with the most national team appearances, following a similar approach to Zidane's time coaching Real Madrid. Therefore, Dembélé (67 appearances), Rabiot (66 appearances), and Koundé (56 appearances) are set to serve as vice-captains during this international break.
