Denis Bouanga is high on América’s list to strengthen the team’s attack for current Apertura tournament. Initially, negotiations were not prospering, but that appears to have changed in the past few days with talks set to be resumed.

LAFC hope to sign South Korean star, Heung-Min Son, who is entering the final year of his contract with Tottenham. According to The Athletic‘s Paul Tenorio, the MLS franchise is making a major push to sign 33-year-old left winger.

Sonny will be part of the Spurs squad that jets out to Asia for preseason friendlies against Arsenal in Hong Kong (July 31) and Newcastle in Seoul (August 3).

LAFC and Tottenham in discussions

The Athletic report that LAFC is willing to do everything in its power to bring the player to the United States. The plan is to sign Son now so he can play the remaining games of the regular season.

With the second MLS transfer window opening on July 24, LAFC hope to have an agreement in place with Spurs and the player within the next two weeks.

What is Bouanga’s situation with América?

Although there was genuine interest and negotiations for the French winger were already underway, negotiations fizzled out briefly. However, they resumed earlier this week, as the Águilas are keen to have the player on board now that the 2025 Apertura tournament is underway.

During the recent All Star Game, the French player praised the Mexican league, saying that it is just as attractive as the Brazilian league and acknowledged that he knows a little about the Liga MX thanks to his compatriot, André-Pierre Gignac.
