Hello everybody and welcome along to this MARCA in English live blog of Robert Lewandowski's presentation as a Barcelona player.

The Polish forward completed his move to the Catalans this week after spending most of his summer forcing his way out of Bayern Munich, where he had won everything on offer in his eight-year spell after joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

Barcelona had spent a lot of the summer trying to get their finances in order so that they could sign Lewandowski, so fans of the Catalans would have been delighted to see his arrival confirmed this week, following Raphinha, Franck Kessie, and Andreas Christensen in joining the club this summer.

Lewandowski had made it clear to Bayern that he wanted to leave this summer, and even showed up late for training on each of their first three days back afte the summer break. In the end, he got his way and has joined Barcelona.

What number will Lewandowski wear at Barcelona?

Lewandowski is a classic No.9, but he might need a favour if he is to take that iconic number at the Camp Nou. As things stand, Memphis Depay is the owner of the No.9 shirt, so the Polish forward may have to ask the Dutchman to give it up, although Memphis is thought to be for sale this summer.

A video surfaced this week of the Barcelona store being unable to print their new signing's name on shirts, as they had run out of their supply of the letter W.
