La Masia launch Solidaria program to involve in social cause

The Fundation Barca and La Masia have launched, for the third consecutive season, the 'Masia Solidaria' program, a project designed to involve more than 550 athletes from the training teams of Barcelona in different social causes.

Different entities collaborate in the program and exchange experiences with the initiative is part of La Masia 360 program, in collaboration with the Fundation, and each season six social causes are chosen, depending on age: knowing the reality of a nursing home (aged 8 to 10); an open center juvenile justice centres (aged 11 and 12); centres working with persons with physical and mental disabilities (children, aged 13 and 14); persons with behavioral addictions (cadets, aged 15 and 16); and children with childhood illnesses and persons with neurological disabilities (juveniles and juniums, aged 17 and 18).

In the visits, by teams and with the presence of players and coaches, they are accompanied by emotional educators. Once the visit, as a return, the participants of the entities visit the facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva to share a training or watch a match of the players who had visited them before.
