Laporta: Barça has the present and the future winning 4 out of the last 5 Kopa

Barcelona held its 2025 Annual General Assembly of Members, which is also the last assembly during Laporta's current term. 

The meeting was held online, with a total of 4,641 member representatives participating, and the 1,000 most senior members attended in person at the 1899 Auditorium, where Laporta delivered a speech. In the first half, he reviewed the club's recent achievements.

After playing a video of the season's highlights, Laporta gave a routine summary. 

Dear members of FC Barcelona, 

Thank you very much for your attendance, and also thank all our friends who are following us online, as this way is more global. Today, as always, you will decide the present and future of the club. First of all, on behalf of the board, I can proudly tell you that we have made great efforts to bring Barcelona back to where it belongs. Four years ago, we were entrusted to revive the club, drive the construction of Camp Nou, and confirm La Masia as the core of the club's sports development. By any measure, we are far better off than we were four and a half years ago. Sometimes I hear remarks that surprise me. Everything can be improved, and it's obvious that we're much better off today than when we first took over. Those who are reluctant to admit this are like the proverb says: the blindest are those who will not see. We ignored those doomsday prophecies.  We have performed quite well and bravely when dealing with complex issues. We have gained experience during the process of response. We love Barça and must fight against everything and everyone. 

Discuss the club's sports achievements 

We are more confident than ever in restoring economic stability. I would like to highlight the work of the club's directors and staff, who have demonstrated perseverance and courage in the club's services. I would also like to thank you, as your support and understanding have enabled us to achieve economic recovery. In sports, the 24-25 season is historic, marking the start of the 125th anniversary season.  We won the treble of the league, the Copa del Rey, and the Super Cup, and we did so with our unique style of football. I would like to attribute all the credit to Deco, Flick, and their teams, as well as all the coaches  and medical staff, especially calling out Carles Minyolo, who has since left. And the architects of our success - our players, the harmony between young and experienced players has brought high-level  competitiveness, and this harmony, guided by Flick, has enabled us to have a team capable of achieving all our goals. This is a team that has both the present and the future, which is also reflected in the Kopa Trophy. Four out of the last five editions have been awarded to Barcelona players, which is the result of the team regaining individual achievements. We are extremely proud of  the women's football team, who have also won the league, Copa del Rey, and Super Cup, achieving a treble. We are a global benchmark, and we should celebrate Bonmatí's third Ballon d'Or and the two Alexias' consecutive five-time wins. Vicky Lopes also won the Copa Award. I would like to specifically highlight the league won by the Basa Sincerity Team, which was funded by the foundation and included the addition of a non-professional division. We are also very proud to have won the youth league under the guidance of Belletti, who played an important role.
