Barcelona secured their first treble on May 27, 2009, and Joan Laporta celebrated the success on social media this Monday.
Ten years on from the victory over Manchester United in Rome, the former president posted a message that many have interpreted as a dig at current president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
"It is 10 years since Rome, when we won the Champions League while being true to our style" his post said, which may be a veiled criticism of the change in the team's footballing style.

Those who are blaming valverde for the change of our club's philosophy need to know something. I'm not defending this useless coach bcoz he certainly has a big role in this. But it's also because of our s***ty board. Bartomeu and Segura are against our philosophy. That's why they are signing tons of players and neglecting La Masia bcoz after all this academy is the reason behind our success and most importantly our beautiful style of play. Segura literally said last summer that we don't need technically gifted players but instead we need physical ones. Look at our legends: Messi iniesta xavi busquets ( who all came through La Masia) is any one of them physical? Another point: those idiot fans who are calling for busquets to be sold these fans don't deserve to be barca supporters bcoz this guy is as important as Messi and as iniesta and xavi were. the reason why he is underperforming is that he's not used in a system that gets the best out of him.
