Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez has set the record straight regarding the supposed finances involved in Pedri's move to Barcelona.
The Tenerife-born teenager has been impressing in the Blaugrana first team this season, but it seems he wasn't quite the steal he was believed to be.
"Everyone thinks we sold Pedri for five million euros, but we've made 10 [million] so far and it could rise to 30 or 35 [million]," Miguel Angel Ramirez told Radio MARCA.
"It was the sale of a youth player who had not yet made his debut in Segunda, Segunda B or Tercera."
Ramirez also spoke about Jese Rodriguez, Las Palmas' marquee signing in the January transfer window.
"I told Jese that he needs to be himself; hardworking and humble, like he was at Castilla," said Ramirez.
"Jese, even not at 100 percent, has the quality to be important in LaLiga SmartBank."
