Levante 0-1 Alaves: Aleix Vidal the match winner at the Ciudad de Valencia

Levante suffered a home defeat to Alavés at Ciudad de Valencia on Saturday.

Levante arrived with the intention of regaining victory after losing against Atlético de Madrid 2-1 while Alavés scored a 1 draw against Real Betis, adding a point in the last match played of the competition. 

Following today's result, Levante is 11th in the LaLiga table with 26 points from 20 matches, while Alavés sits 14th with 23 points after 20 matches.

Both sides were struggling to produce anything in the first half and the teams went to the dressing room locked in a 0-0.

Alavés boosted the game in the second half, thanks to a goal from Aleix Vidal in the 64th minute, which saw the second half to a 0-1.

At the end of the match, both teams made 3 substitutions each. For Levante Enis Bardhi, Hernani and Sergio Leon came on for Gonzalo Melero, Jose Luis Morales and Borja Mayoral, while Alavés brought on Borja Sainz, Pere Pons and Martin Aguirregabiria to replace Luis Rioja, Aleix Vidal and Victor Camarasa.

The referee booked Gonzalo Melero and Erick Cabaco from Levante, while for Alavés Rodrigo Ely, Ximo Navarro, Ruben Duarte and Victor Camarasa saw a yellow card as well.

Levante will play against Osasuna at away stadium, while Alavés will face Villarreal at home stadium.
