Lip reading experts have told LaLiga that Cadiz defender Juan Cala directed no racist abuse to Valencia's Mouctar Diakhaby, according to reports in Spain.
Diakhaby accused defender Cala of calling him a 's****y black' during a heated moment in the 36th minute of Cadiz's 2-1 victory against Valencia on Sunday.
The 24-year-old appeared enraged and reacted furiously to something Cala said, before being followed off the pitch by his team-mates as the game was stopped for 25 minutes.
Valencia returned without the Frenchman to complete the game, after which LaLiga president Javier Tebas confirmed an 'internal investigation with the videos and images of the game' was being carried out.
But now according to El Partidazo de Cope, a report from a company specialising in lip reading has found no identifiable evidence that Cala directed racist abuse towards Diakhaby.
The same outlet reports that the only words Cala spoke to Diakhaby included: 's***', 'leave me alone,' and 'sorry, don't be mad.'
Cope claim LaLiga will communicate this news to both clubs on Friday. The news comes after both sides had had their say on the incident off the field.
Cadiz defender Cala's extraordinary press conference on Tuesday saw him insist that he told Diakhaby to leave him alone.
Cala added that he would leave football if Diakhaby's claims were proven true, and that he was being 'publicly lynched'.
The Cadiz player went on to state that there was no proof against him and that he would pursue legal action against Valencia president Anil Murthy, while there is 'no racism in Spanish football'.
Valencia responded to Cala's comment, tweeting a statement with the caption: 'Juan Cala, we don't believe you'.
'Valencia CF deeply regrets the statements of the Cadiz player, Juan Cala, in which 48 hours later he denies that he uttered a serious racist insult to our footballer, Mouctar Diakhaby, during the match played this past Sunday at the Ramón de Carranza,' the statement read.
'Juan Cala has lost a great opportunity to accept that mistake and apologise to the person affected. Instead, he has attacked the player himself and other members of Valencia CF.
'Valencia CF totally believes in its footballer and reiterates its full support for him. After the threats of Juan Cala in his press conference on Tuesday, April 6, the Club, its president Anil Murthy and his player Mouctar Diakhaby keep intact their deep conviction to fight where necessary and until the end for the good of the soccer.
'Valencia CF will not stop fighting for the improvement of regulations and the fight against racism in football and in society.'
Valencia also released a 10-point statement entitled 'no to racism' on their official website, while Diakhaby wrote this week: 'To be silent is to be an accomplice LaLiga, good night.'
