Game is over and the final score is Liverpool 2-3 West Bromwich. Here is the match report.
Match Events
5' Liverpool 1-0 West Brom (Roberto Firmino)
Dreadful mix-up between Evans and Foster, each leaving the ball for one another, allowing Salah to burst through and take it in on goal.
He's thwarted by a smart save from Foster, but Firmino follows up on the rebound, chipping a delightful finish in at the far post from 20 yards with Foster well off his line!
7' GOAL! Liverpool 1-1 West Brom (Jay Rodriguez)
Quick, decisive play from the Baggies on the front foot as Brunt picks out Rodriguez, who does well to step inside and cannon a strike into the top corner from just outside the penalty area!
11' GOAL! Liverpool 1-2 West Bromwich Albion (Jay Rodriguez)
Gibbs the provider this time as he produces a delightful assist to pick out Rodriguez, who has his second with a terrifically composed finish at the near post!
20' DISALLOWED GOAL! Dawson's header ruled out for offside by VAR
Dawson meets a corner and sends a header at goal that Mignolet makes a meal of.
After consulting VAR, it's deemed that Barry may have interfered ever-so-slightly with the keeper from an offside position.
23' Penalty Missed from Liverpool! (Firmino)
Following a lengthy review, Livermore was deemed to have fouled Salah in the area, and the Reds have been gifted a way back into this match - should they be able to take advantage from the spot.
Firmino beats Foster from the spot, but not the frame of the goal as his effort rattles off the underside of the crossbar and stays out!
45' OWN GOAL! Liverpool 1-3 West Brom (Joel Matip)
VAR is consulted again, but this time it will count! Rodriguez clips a terrific ball over the top for Dawson.
He was proved to be onside following a review, and the defender lashes an effort across the face of goal that somehow finds its way through, with Matip inexplicably failing to clear!
78' GOAL! Liverpool 2-3 West Brom (Mo Salah)
It's been coming, and finally Liverpool are back in the game! Alexander-Arnold sends in a terrific ball to pick out Firmino...
He produces a brilliantly deft touch to tee up Salah, and the forward makes no mistake, passing a left-footed strike into the far corner from 10 yards.

van dijk is surrounded by matip, moreno and mignolet.. even cannavaro or nesta can't do anything .. matip can't even kick a ball out of the danger zone.. klopp stubbornness heaped up since the start of the season.. why can't he buy a new goalkeeper, a new defender partner for vvd, and he shouldn't sell Sturbridge since we do not have a quality bench

Liverpool crashed out of the most prestigious domestic cup competition in the world after succumbing to minnows West Brom. The defeat confirmed the Merseyside have plunged into a lean spell where they have lost two games on the trot ironically to lightweights. YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE.
