Liverpool are keeping tabs on Athletic Bilbao striker Nico Williams.
The youngster was part of Spain's World Cup squad.
AS says the Reds are exploring the possibility of signing Williams, and are willing to “test the ground" for a potential move.
Aston Villa have also been credited with an interest in the 20-year-old forward, who is the brother of club captain Inaki Williams.
It has been claimed that Williams has a €50m (£44m) release clause in his contract, but also that the young forward has remained “loyal" to Bilbao.
