Liverpool Stand Firm on £35M Valuation as Inter's Pursuit of Curtis Jones Frustrates Reds

Beijing Time (CEST) June 22 – According to Paul Joyce of The Times, Liverpool are increasingly frustrated by Internazionale's failure to make a satisfactory offer for Curtis Jones.

Inter have submitted a second bid for Curtis Jones worth €25 million (approximately £21.7 million), but Liverpool have flatly rejected it.

According to Paul Joyce, Liverpool are growing impatient with Inter's prolonged pursuit and will terminate negotiations unless the Serie A club significantly increases their offer.

Joyce's report notes that considering the surge in midfielder valuations this summer—Bournemouth's Alex Scott and West Ham United's Matheus Fernandes are both valued around £80 million, while Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton is valued at £100 million—Liverpool believe £21 million is insufficient to find a suitable replacement. The deal has been shelved, and the club is maintaining its £35 million valuation for Curtis Jones.

Joyce also reported that Liverpool are not currently in substantive contract extension negotiations with Curtis Jones, though the situation could change if the English midfielder impresses new manager Iraola during pre-season training, which begins next month.
