Hello and welcome to live coverage of Tottenham's Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Bouncing back from their 6-1 defeat against Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon to register a point vs Manchester United in midweek, Spurs return to league action with a tricky game against Liverpool.

Ryan Mason's team showed plenty of fighting spirit against the Red Devils and that will be needed against Jurgen Klopp's men in the 4.30pm kick-off.

The Reds have found their form at such a crucial time in the campaign and they are now breathing down Tottenham's neck when it comes to a European spot.

Son gives Spurs late hope with a low finish beyond Alisson after Romero had played him through with a fantastic pass.

Alisson saves well to stop Porro's effort from distance flying in.

Tottenham hit the post through Son after Kulusevski had played him in, before Romero sees his volley from Kane's cross strike the other post.

So close.

Son gets a yellow for pulling back Gakpo.

The second half is underway.

Liverpool lead 3-1 at the break.

Son curls an effort against the post.

The offside flag did go up seconds later, however.

Another chance for Spurs as Kulusevski shoots at Alisson when he could have squared the ball to Kane.

It really should be 3-2.

Kane pulls one back for Tottenham as he volleys in unmarked from Perisic's cross.

The goal came moments after Son had seen an effort cleared off the line by Van Dijk.

Porro tries a shot from his own half and Alisson just brings it down on his chest.

Salah has another chance for Liverpool as he curls the ball wide of the target from just inside the area.

Rare Spurs attack culminates with Son putting in a cross from the left but it's comfortable for Alisson.

Liverpool now lead 3-0 as Salah converts from the penalty spot.

The penalty came after Romero had hacked down Gakpo just inside the box.

It is now 2-0 to Liverpool as Diaz gets his name on the scoresheet.

The winger nipped in at the front post to volley in Gakpo's cross.

Nightmare start for Tottenham.

Liverpool lead after three minutes as Jones opens the scoring.

The midfielder was on his own at the back post to volley in Alexander-Arnold's cross.
