Julen Lopetegui has begun life as Sevilla coach after being appointed on a three-year deal earlier this week.
Sporting director Monchi has been constantly telling the Basque coach of the stature of the Andalusian club and its grand history.
Lopetegui took a slight dig at Real Betis during his unveiling after he was asked whether he'd been in negotiations to take their vacant role as coach.
"I'm at the best team in Seville and at a big club in Sevilla, with all to respect to the rest of the teams," he said.
The former Real Madrid and Spain boss knows exactly what Sevilla and their fans are expecting of him and his team.
"I've come to Sevilla as an opponent, I know what the fans are like, and I have no doubt that we're going to enjoy this energy as much as the locals," Lopetegui said.
"Everyone is going to try and get the team as high as possible and we're going to work hard so that the fans are happy and proud of their team.
"No one is going to beat us for ambition. We're sure that we're going to succeed."
Monchi will work with Lopetegui to bring in the players he needs in order to compete at the top of LaLiga Santander.
"Monchi is the best [at signing players] and I'm sure we're going to have a fantastic squad," Lopetegui said.
"We're going to try and attract international players."
Spain sacking
During his opening press conference, there was a moment of tension when Lopetegui was asked about his time with the Spanish national team.
He was sacked on the eve of the World Cup in Russia because he'd accpted to take the Real Madrid job without telling the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
"I didn't run away. I was sacked. My biggest dream was taken away from me," he said.
"It was the first time that they'd put a release clause on the national team coach, which was going to come into effect after the World Cup.
"I've told you the truth, I didn't abandon anything. Repeating a lie lots of times doesn't make it true."

Always a great storm comes calm, is what I perceive these days of hustle and bustle, with the hiring of the Basque technician, we have to work hard and well, in a template that we are excited about, if I like something from Lopetegui, that does not give importance in excess, in the game systems sooo important, for planning, do you have any Sevillista problem, in recognizing that Monchi is number one?, for my modest opinion is deceived only. Cordial Greetings.

I do not know, because it is given so much importance, that Lopetegui, said that it comes to the best team in the City, Sevilla FC, in my opinion it has been missing the phrase, sports, hobby and other issues because they are two magnificent clubs , I think that Setién, but he has denied it, said he did not train, at Sevilla, some problem or has it, in short it is the sauce of our greatest rivalry in Spain.
