With his big-money move to Bayern Munich now completed, full-back Lucas Hernandez has sent a touching message to the supporters of Atletico Madrid.

Lucas had been at Atletico since 2007, joining the club's youth team at just eleven years of age.
His performances for both Los Rojiblancos and France convinced Bayern to pay his 80-million-euro release clause and will form part of Niko Kovac's squad from the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old paid tribute to the Atletico supporters in his farewell note.
"My gratitude to Atletico Madrid for all the years I have been associated with them.
"Thanks to all the people in the club: directors, coaches, staff and others who have always treated me so well, both professionally and personally", Lucas began.

"I especially want to thank all of my teammates from all of these years for their help and affection," the defender continued.
"I do not want to forget the magnificent Atletico supporters who always encouraged me to keep improving.
"Thank you very much and I will always take you my heart," he wrote.

He is even more expensive than Van Dijk, hoping that he can show the same level of performance as Van Dijk.

As a representative of the Atletico Madrid training players, you should stay in the club when you are in danger rather than choose to leave!

Simeone once said: Give me 10 Lucas, I won't lose, it's a pity that he didn't continue to play in Atletico.

If we keep Lucas we'll probably go after him anyway. We're losing Filipe and Lucas is better suited at CB for us.
