Before Vinicius Junior's existence was even known at Real Madrid, Lucas Silva was the last great Brazilian hope at Los Blancos when he arrived just before turning 22.
Carlo Ancelotti described him as being "the future of the club", but he played just 428 minutes after his 2015 arrival, with just three of those coming as a starter.
Loaned to Olympique Marseille the following season, Lucas Silva was expected to acclimatise to life in Europe and the style of play, but a heart problem in 2016 saw him return to Madrid before being loaned back to Cruzeiro in Brazil.

I would gladly give him a second chance. He deserves it after all. If he was and still is so good, he deserves a chance after his heart problem. If not, we will make sure he can get back to his feet at least, play the beautiful game for a club, better than nothing

I remember when we sing him, it was so sad when I heard that he was about to retire thanks to a heart problem, but then he got better during his time at Cruzeiro. Let see how his future will turn out to be.
