Barcelona chase a striker
Barcelona have been the centre of attention this summer, with their finances in such a mess that they were unable to retain star man Lionel Messi, who has since joined Paris Saint Germain.
They have since been able to register new signings Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia and Emerson Royal, but remain on a shoestring budget, desperate to shift some of their higher-earners this summer in order to comply with La Liga financial regulations.
Despite this, rumours have circulated that Ronald Koeman remains on the hunt for a new striker, despite Griezmann, Memphis Depay and Braithwaite being options to lead the line in Catalunya.
Barcelona and West Ham to fight it out for De Jong
According to Spanish publication SPORT cited by VI, Barca have been offered the chance to increase their striking options through the addition of one time Newcastle forward Luuk De Jong.
As per the report, Sevilla have offered Koeman the chance to sign the 30 year old, who has netted nineteen times in 94 appearances for Sevilla.
However, Barcelona would face competition from West Ham, with David Moyes also keen to bolster his attacking options that currently rely almost solely on the fitness of Michael Antonio.
The Dutch forward had an underwhelming time in the Premier League last time out, failing to score in his 12 appearances while on loan at Newcastle United. Could Moyes be the man to get the best out of him, or will Koeman bite the bullet
