According to the latest report from Mundo Deportivo, Ajax inquired about the possibility of loaning Bernal, but Flick has no intention of letting the player leave.
It is reported that Flick is currently being very cautious with Bernal’s usage, and there have been rumors that he might leave in January to gain more playing time. Many European clubs have shown interest in him, especially Ajax, who hope to secure him on loan.
Barcelona is very clear that Bernal can be the midfield cornerstone for the next decade. At just 18 years old, he has already demonstrated his potential, and Flick did not hesitate to give him a starting spot last season until his injury.
Clearly, Bernal needs more playing time to continue his development, and the sporting management had previously considered allowing him to leave, but the move ultimately did not make it into action because Flick did not want him to go.
The possibility of a departure has drawn market attention—Girona inquired about his situation, but numerous major European clubs have also expressed interest, with some even willing to facilitate a transfer. However, neither Barcelona nor the player himself was open to it.
Ajax specifically asked about a loan until the end of the season, believing he could help the team achieve a qualitative leap. Jordi Cruyff will become Ajax’s new sporting director on February 1. Although he was not directly involved in this inquiry, he provided a positive assessment of the player.
He knows Bernal extremely well and firmly believes that at Ajax, Bernal could become an irreplaceable starter. Ultimately, after calm discussions among Bernal, his representatives, the sporting management, and Flick, the decision was made for him to stay.
Considering his lengthy recovery process, this year may prove particularly challenging, but Flick’s message is clear: he will continue to rely on him. Bernal will gradually receive more playing time and will compete for a starting role during the summer preparations for the new season.
Bernal has renewed his contract with Barcelona until 2029, which includes a €500 million release clause—an amount high enough to deter attempts and discourage big clubs from making serious moves for him. The player is determined to succeed at Barcelona, and Flick is firmly committed to supporting him in achieving that goal.

They should let him go on loan for at least 2 fully season on loan at a club that he’ll be a starter then recall him back in 2027 , we currently has Casado who’s not even getting minutes, not forgetting Gavi is coming back next month

considering that Gavi will come soon and he's currently not even playing much , a loan until the end of the season is reasonable
We’re finally learning from past mistakes at Barcelona, letting Thiago Alcántara, Alejandro Grimaldo, André Onana, Takefusa Kubo, and Xavi Simons leave hurt us badly in those exact positions, especially once Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets moved on, I’m truly grateful to Laporta for appointing Hansi Flick, he’s outstanding at managing players and maximizing their potential, please let’s hold on to Marc Bernal, it’s the best thing for both the club and the player himself, pedri, De Jong, and Gavi can’t play every minute forever, the season is long and we’re still competing on all fronts

This young lads need game time for continuous development, sending them on loan, wouldn't be a bad idea
We’re finally learning from some of our past mistakes at Barcelona. We let Thiago Alcántara, Alejandro Grimaldo, André Onana, Takefusa Kubo and Xavi Simons slip away and we’ve paid dearly in those positions, especially after legends like Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets left, I’m genuinely grateful to Laporta for bringing in Hansi Flick he’s exceptional at managing and getting the best out of players 💖 please let’s keep Marc Bernal at the club, it’s all best for the team and the player himself, pedri and dejong are humans, at some point they’ll need he’ll too

You should allow him to go get more playing time at Ajax . why holding him when there are big numbers of academy graduates on the bench at Barcelona why?
