Madrid vs Leganes preview: Los Blancos hope for easy win against bottom side

Real Madrid are looking to bounce back against Leganes on Wednesday after falling off top spot in La Liga.

A first league defeat of the season to Mallorca on Saturday night allowed Barcelona to climb back to the summit of Spanish football at the expense of their arch-rivals. 

At home to La Liga's bottom side, Zinedine Zidane will be hoping for a response from his side.

Leganes have lost seven of their 10 league games this term, finding the back of the net on five occasions.

Alvaro Odriozola is sidelined due to suspension for the home side after getting two bookings against Real Mallorca.

Gareth Bale will be absent due to a calf injury, which should see Rodrygo or James Rodriguez figure on the right wing.

Toni Kroos and Luka Modric will return in central midfield for LaLiga action after injury.

Leganes

Ruben Perez is set to sit outuntil mid-November due to a knee injury.

Christian Rivera is expected to anchor the midfield for Leganes.

Dimitrios Siovas has a knock, which should see Chidozie start at centre back alongside Unai Bustinza.
