On March 26th local time, TA's Manchester City correspondent Sam Lee published an article discussing Rodri's hint towards Real Madrid.
The reporter stated: "Rodri's statement about Real Madrid seems almost inevitable to me. In the past two weeks, he has given post-match interviews to several Spanish media outlets, which is very rare. In my opinion, he seems to be intentionally hinting at his future. The international match day has always been a good time for players to reveal their movements."
"I think Manchester City's squad is strong and does not need major changes this summer, but if Rodri and Bernado Silva leave, the team's transfer work will become tricky. Rodri did say that he is currently very happy in the Premier League, so he may fulfill the last year of his contract, or even choose to stay, but interestingly, after the relaetd matters regarding Ballon d'Or have settled, he is still open to the idea of playing for Real Madrid (which he always has been)."

Because of the Banter between R.M and ManCity, and the injury he went through, I don't think he'd be a good fit for Real Madrid again. I'll prefer Rice, Vitinha, Cacaido or Enzo for now than Rodri.
