Man Utd transfer round-up: Ousmane Dembele faces summer decision amid interest

Manchester United missed out on several of their major targets in last summer's transfer window so will be keen to make up for lost time.

The Red Devils are in pole position to qualify for the Champions League meaning they will be able to attract many of the top names.

United failed in their well publicised pursuit of Jadon Sancho, but are tipped to again return.

Alternatives are being eyed however with Ousmane Dembele among them as his Barcelona contract winds down.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will know his side have several areas that need addressing so he could be set for a busy summer.

Juve, United eye Dembele switch

United and Juventus are both keen on signing Dembele this summer, according to  Mundo Deportivo  .

The French forward has a choice to make – he can either choose to extend his deal with Barcelona or seek pastures new in the market.

Dembele was linked with an Old Trafford switch last summer and the Red Devils are still looking to add a winger.

Injuries have hampered the player's career at the Nou Camp and he could be an alternative to Sancho

Manchester clubs battle for Mendes

Manchester City are looking to battle it out with United for Sporting youngster Nuno Mendes, claims  Record .

The Red Devils are leading the race as they close on a deal that would see Alex Telles head in the oppodite direction.

Bruno Fernandes is pushing for the move having seen Mendes in action.

But City could yet hijack the move as they also consider their left-back options.

Mata's price set

Juan Mata will be allowed to leave Old Trafford if United receive an offer of £5m ($6.9m) for the Spaniard, says  the Express .

The playmaker, who moved to the Red Devils in 2014, is set for a one-year extension in Manchester.

Despite that the club will consider offers for the squad member, who has struggled for minutes this term.

Mata finds himself behind the likes of Mason Greenwood, Daniel James, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in the pecking order.
