Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle 'all make contact with Paulo Dybala's agent'

Four Premier League teams have reportedly made contact with Paulo Dybala's agent about signing the forward this summer.

Dybala is out of contract at Juventus at the end of the season and is expected to leave the club after negotiations over a new deal broke down.

Therefore there is significant interest in a player who will be available for free and is still only 28 years old.

According to ESPN, Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle have all made enquiries about Dybala. Tottenham have long been in discussions with the Argentine's representatives.

The report adds that unnamed clubs in Italy and Spain have also registered their interest, but no side is in advanced talks yet.

Manchester United came close to agreeing a swap deal for Dybala in 2019, which would have seen Romelu Lukaku join Juve, but were not willing to meet the Argentine’s wage demands.

Incoming manager Erik ten Hag is said to be determined to sign the 28-year-old as he seeks to revitalise the Red Devils' frontline.

Tottenham were also on the verge of signing Dybala three years ago and reportedly agreed a £65m deal with Juventus but could not get it over the line for similar financial reasons to United.

Current Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici knows the forward from his 11-year spell as Juventus' sporting director.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are yet to sign a replacement upfront for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who joined Barcelona in February and Newcastle are keen to make a marquee signing following their Saudi-backed takeover last year.

Dybala, who joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015, has scored 14 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions this season.
