According to the latest report from Portuguese media outlet Record, Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle, Atlético Madrid, and several other clubs are interested in William Gomes, but no club has yet made an offer to Porto.

Reportedly, Porto won the league championship in the 2025-2026 season, which caused the market value of several key players to surge, with William Gomes among them. The Brazilian winger has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle, Atlético Madrid, and Roma in recent weeks.

Porto has not yet received any concrete offers or bids for the player. His contract with Porto runs through 2029 and includes an €80 million release clause. With the summer transfer window still open and a transfer surge expected across Europe following the World Cup, developments could still emerge.

What is clear is that Porto will not dismiss offers, as Farioli considers William Gomes a cornerstone of the club's future strategy, particularly given his potential to reach an elite competitive level with continued experience.

Porto signed William Gomes from São Paulo last January for €9 million, acquiring 80% of his transfer rights while São Paulo retained 20%. Consequently, unless Porto purchases the remaining 20%, São Paulo will retain a stake in any future transfer fees for the player.

Porto is not currently pursuing this buyout, though it could become necessary as the season progresses or if a major club approaches the €80 million release clause.
