Manquillo: The situation in England isn't because Atletico fans went to Anfield

Newcastle United right-back Javier Manquillo has stated that the argument of some who believe Atletico Madrid fans brought coronavirus to England is far from the case.

The Spaniard, who came through at Atletico, was talking in relation to the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie between Los Rojiblancos and Liverpool, which was held at Anfield.

"This virus is a global thing and I don't think that this situation is happening in England because of the fans who travelled to Anfield, it doesn't have much to do with it," Manquillo told Radio MARCA.
