According to Marca, Barcelona hopes to finalize Rodri's arrival and Ferran Torres's departure soon. Paris Saint-Germain, coached by Enrique, is also pushing for this deal, while Álvarez's transfer is progressing slowly due to Atlético Madrid's refusal to negotiate.

Flick wants to finalize his squad as soon as possible, and players also want to join their new teams quickly. Given this situation, Barcelona believes that Rodri's arrival and Ferran Torres's departure will not be delayed much longer. Both deals are already underway, and the club is confident of reaching an agreement soon. In contrast, although both sides have been in talks for several months, Álvarez's transfer will not be completed as quickly as these two operations because Atlético Madrid refuses to negotiate.

Barcelona's current plan is to officially announce Araújo's loan to Liverpool and Höfmann's transfer to Ajax in the coming hours. More news will follow. Internally, the club believes that Rodri's arrival and Ferran Torres's move to Paris Saint-Germain could be finalized next week. Barcelona does not even expect Ferran Torres to still be with the team when training resumes on Wednesday, although this assessment is currently only the most optimistic scenario.

Negotiations with Paris are expected to advance quickly, and both sides share this expectation. The Spanish international forward has already been in contact with Paris, so one piece of the puzzle is already in place. Paris strongly wants to sign him and is unwilling to haggle much over the price, with a transfer fee of approximately 50 million euros, which keeps Barcelona optimistic.

Barcelona also believes that Rodri's signing can be completed next week. The club has already spoken with the Madrid midfielder, and both clubs are in communication. Barcelona knows that despite the Spanish international's contract not expiring until next year, they will still have to pay a transfer fee. The valuation stands at 60 million euros, including fixed fees and variable clauses. Reaching an agreement by Wednesday seems unlikely, but not entirely impossible.

In the coming days, Cancelo's return will also be finalized. The Barcelona office expects this to be a busy week.

As for the later arrival, it is Álvarez. Although this negotiation started the earliest, over six months ago, Atlético Madrid is unwilling to facilitate his transfer and continues to block his move to Barcelona. Barcelona is aware of this but still views this acquisition as a long-term project.

Additionally, Roni and Casado's departures have not yet entered substantive negotiations, but senior management is confident that neither the midfielder nor the forward will be in Barcelona's 2026-2027 squad. However, their destinations remain undetermined.
